Our denomination is built around the idea of missions!
Here at OCCA, we hold semi-annual Missions Conferences where we hear from international workers on the field and how we can join them in completing the Great Commission.
We also encourage people to live "on mission" with God and pursue community projects and ministries they feel God is calling them to do.
But what if there is no one around who can tell them? If God is pursuing them, isn’t it worth it for us as the church to send someone into their culture to speak and live out the gospel? Across our world, entire nations, people groups, cities, towns, villages, refugee camps, and informal settlements still have little opportunity of knowing Jesus. We must go.
Operation Christmas Child
Samaritan’s Purse continues to declare God’s glory in more than 100 countries and territories through Operation Christmas Child - including among many unreached people groups at the very ends of the earth. We praise God that more than 9.1 million shoebox gifts were distributed to children in need at over 81,000 outreach events!
